Donate to Global Disc Golf
Hi! My name is Greg Guthrie, and I'm a volunteer running the Global League and the Global Disc Golf website. Thanks for being one of the 60k+ people who've played in Season 2! I hope you've had fun over the past 10 weeks with the different events, custom layouts, and in-game prizes.
If you've appreciated my efforts and have some coin to spare, please consider becoming a Global Disc Golf member. I've included Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App links below.
Thanks to all of you who've already donated and become members!
It means a lot to me and helps inspire additional Global League seasons!
Event 1 of 3 - Curated by "David"
What's your proudest DGV-related accomplishment? Creating and maintaining the DGV User Guide
What's your favorite DGV course? Ikigai Twilight [which David created on Ikigai Springs's map] - Because it was fun to explore the map, and it will probably never get made.
What's your favorite DGV hole? Lakeside #4 - When the Recoil was introduced, I was the first to "Condor" the hole.
What two discs would go in your Team Series pack? Acc Sticky Marlin + Acc Sticky Manta
If you could add/change one thing about DGV, what would it be? Custom Disc Golf Shop, where you can spend coin or a combo coin / achievements to get discs that you actually want, rather than relying on the Random reward system.
Any other DGV accomplishments? First "Contributor" winner on Facebook. Won 122 out of 123 Daily Open Tournaments with streaks of 70 and 52. 74 were solo wins. There's probably a couple of other things.
Outside of DGV, what are you best at? Probably juggling, but I haven't kept up with it as of late.
Describe your custom layout: David's Dilemma: David's Dilemma is a collection of holes that I really feel I have to take a moment and consider the wind before selecting the disc / line. I also tried to create the layout in such a way that it would flow and make sense moving from one hole to the next. They aren't the hardest holes out there, but they should give you an opportunity to vary up what you throw and what like you take to get there. Enjoy!

Every player who finishes this event in 500th place or higher will earn points. Points will be awarded using the following formula:
501 - [Player's Placement] = Points
Both the "David" and "Freya" events will work as separate Main Events from previous weeks. If a player manages to win both of these Main Events, they would receive 1000 points for W10 + whatever Ace Race bonus points they earn.

Event 2 of 3 - Curated by Freya
What's your proudest DGV-related accomplishment? Seemingly having inspired new CTV courses with screenshot alters.
What's your favorite DGV course? Downtown. I actually don't much like the city environment nor care about the glow effects. I like all the fairly difficult eagle holes and that there aren't many boring par 3's. It's just fun to play. That, and the Ferris wheels could be traced back to an early alter I made.
What's your favorite DGV hole? I don't think I have a favorite.
What two discs would go in your Team Series pack? Heavy/Sticky Keystone & Turn/Wind Ballista Pro
If you could add/change one thing about DGV, what would it be? Random draw best score doubles.
Any other DGV accomplishments? Almost 100 "Altered" screenshots (some of which may have actually inspired CTV course creations, DGVPP Annual Member of the Year Poll, Most Legendary DGV Player Poll, Group Letter to Per/Suggestion Upvoting, first group AI 750 spreadsheet, Foster Points, Straight732 Tournament, Real Cash Challenges, probably other stuff I can't remember.
Outside of DGV, what are you best at? Magic the Gathering (modern, casual), Chess, Blokus, disc golf, billiards
Describe your custom layout: Freya's Fracas: I focused on making a layout that made sense if you played it IRL in terms of elevation change. So if we go up a hill, we get to throw down a hill. I inserted a "flat" hole between each up hole and down hole.

Event 3 of 3 - Curated by Bagger
What's your proudest DGV-related accomplishment? Winning the Virtual European Open
What's your favorite DGV course? This answer used to be Oak Hill. I like eagles😊. These days I would have to say Lost Island because it's challenging and fun to play. Very visually appealing, and who doesn't want to throw at dragons' skeletons???
What's your favorite DGV hole? Kaho Park 2 because of the risk/reward aspect of it. Could be a 2 could be a 12 (also known as a "bagger" unfortunately 😐).
What two discs would go in your Team Series pack? Accurate Sticky Judge and Glide Turn Rive (not saying Fuse because that's too obvious 😉).
If you could add/change one thing about DGV, what would it be? New theme song.
Any other DGV accomplishments? First solo Daily win. Beating David Sallee in multiplayer.
Outside of DGV, what are you best at? Decent at IRL disc golf but by no means a pro. I'm a pretty good father and friend. Overthinking is one of my strong suits. I'm also hilarious🤣🤣
Describe your custom layout: Bagger's Ace Race: I was tasked with making another ace race layout. Cajun ace race was already a layout. I couldn't use any of those holes. As a result my ace race layout is a bit tougher, and some of the ace runs are a bit more risky.

Bagger's Ace Race
Ace Race Rules
The only goal of an Ace Race is to finish holes in 1 shot (an "Ace"). Birdies, Pars, Bogeys, etc. all count the same: Nothing! Good luck, and let's see some 1s!
Scoring
Players will have one attempt with one account to complete one Ace Race round of nine holes.
Ace = a hole score of 1 stroke.
Each Ace a player hits will earn 10 bonus points toward their league total.
Any hole score greater than 1 will earn 0 bonus points.
Players will have the same time window as the Main Event to complete the Ace Race round.
Only Aces hit during the Ace Race round will count as bonus. Main Event aces won't be awarded 10 point bonuses.
Example
Brandon finishes the round with a total score of +3, but he hit 3 aces in the process. Brandon is awarded 30 bonus points.
Phil finishes the round with a total score of -8, but he hit 0 aces in the process. Phil is awarded 0 bonus points.
As you can see, in an Ace Race the only thing that matters is an Ace.
